This professional equipment for the refrigeration of packaged goods such as ice cream, ice lollies, fish, shellfish, frozen meat and vegetables is available in different sizes, materials and capacities. Freezers can be purchased in wheeled or wheelless versions, and are equipped with sliding glass top doors (also curved) or blind lids, depending on the intended use and the model selected.

    The appliance has a rectangular structure and an integrated refrigeration system in the 4 walls. The sump cooler guarantees optimal cold maintenance, minimising energy wastage as the horizontal opening of the sliding doors limits the exchange between cold air from the freezer and warm air from the outside environment to the surface only, avoiding sudden changes in internal temperature.

    Chest freezers with fridge/freezer function, also available with dual temperature, are equipped with internal lighting, digital thermometer for temperature control (adjustable between -25/-15°C), thermostat and manual defrost.

    What is the difference between a static and a ventilated freezer?

    There are different types of freezers on the market, which differ from each other in the type of cooling system used. A freezer can be static and ventilated: here are the main differences:

    • The static freezer is the most common cooling system; it is so called because the transmission of cold to the various compartments is by natural emission, i.e. without the use of fans to move the air inside. In addition, the cold air emitted descends downwards, preventing the formation of frost and maintaining an ideal humidity level.
    • The ventilated freezer is designed to have a fan that allows the cold air to disperse evenly over the various compartments and with it the humidity necessary to maintain food. The fan is activated when the internal temperature drops, for example when the top door or lid is opened.
